Meet Ruth McArdle

Ruth McArdle, MPA, is an innovative educator and independent consultant. She brings new ideas to virtual and live classrooms and workplaces.  

Ruth is a certified Myers-Briggs and Strong practitioner. She coaches young people at the start of their careers, senior professionals and those looking to find new roles and re-invent their careers. At the heart of these programs, Ruth uses a personal coaching style to help professionals start with their unique personalities and strengths.

Ruth’s Background

Ruth started her career as a licensed adult education teacher. As a teacher, Ruth is well-versed with experiential learning theories and their applications to classes and individual instruction.  

Ruth was selected to join a team of seven lead-teachers, who were proven innovators, to redesign the Adult Division of the NYC Department of Education serving 50,000 students across the five boroughs. The successful redesign raised educational and employment outcomes for adults who had previously dropped out of traditional classrooms. This work launched a new phase of Ruth’s career — from teaching in the traditional classroom setting to designing and using new forms of interactive and virtual education to more effectively teach adults.   

Ruth subsequently earned an MPA from New York University Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. The NYU Wagner Master’s Program focuses on team building, new program design and continuous quality improvement. Ruth extensively uses these skills in non-profits and hospitals.

Ruth is passionate about helping individuals find and articulate their purpose.
